Fast-growing startup, Foura, expands to meet growing demand

Sydney 13/02/23 - Having attracted more than 6,000 members across Sydney and Melbourne in less than 18 months, Foura is now matching members and hosting events in 3 additional Australian Capital Cities.
Foura is the world’s first matchmaking service for mates, not dates. Members sign up and register their hobbies, interests, experience and values. Foura then matches them up with three like-minded legends and books a table for them to meet face to face at a partner venue.
To keep up with the demand for new friendships, Founder Tam Al-Saad believes the time is right to expand.
“Since the day we launched we’ve been getting requests to open up in new cities. We had a tremendous response when we expanded to Melbourne last year and now we’re confident we can help people across other cities too”
“I wish we could snap our fingers and help people all over Australia but we’re not quite there yet. But we’re aiming to be in 100 cities globally by the end of 2027 so hopefully it won’t be long until the whole country can meet a Foura pod”.
People who want to meet like minded legends in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth can now sign up at joinfoura.com. Invites for the first events will be sent on Monday 20th Feb.
All Foura venues are located in the CBD districts of each city, with plans to expand into more suburban areas as the community grows.
“There needs to be a critical mass of users before we can start branching out to more suburban areas. We’re centrally located for now so that the events are easily accessible for everyone but the more people that sign up, the faster we can expand”
